Drama Theatre After Vardan Adjemian

In 1928, the State Drama Theater named after Vardan Achemyan of Gyumri was founded. The first performance that was played in the theater was the performance "Riot". The director is A. Gulakyan.
Gyumri has always been a theater city and the opening of the drama theater gave a new tone to the development of the city's culture. The actors of the newly opened theater were recent graduates of the local Qaghlusvar Theater and the Moscow Armenian Drama Studio, such as A. Araksyan, B. Gabrielyan, A. Mkrtumyan and other talented actors. The directors of the performances were T. Saryan and V. Achemyan, artist V. Sherishev.
The theater has toured many times in Yerevan, Tbilisi and other cities.
